Snow

I wanted to create a scene where a little boy orphan is building a snowman while his younger brother is inside sick. He is building the snow man to cheer his brother up and to keep his mind busy. It is almost christmas and they have yet to be adopted. He is starting to lose hope but maybe a Christmas miracle will happen if he just keeps believing. 

Explore

When I think of the word explore I picture the dentist searching your teeth for cavities. Its like they are going a journey to find pearls. Well at least they hope there are good teeth but if there wasn't any small or large issues the dentist would not be needed. I thought it would be more interesting if the view was from the inside out.

I have always loved jewelry, the older vintage jewelry at least. There is just something magical about it. Each piece tells a story and brings back memories of different times. The purpose of doing jewelry is to tell its story. 

Theme and Variation

For my theme and variation I wan to focus on jewelry. Mostly old, classic jewelry. The kind that grandparents wear. I will heavily focus on rings, watches, earrings and necklaces. The main idea is that the jewelry tells a story. The story behind it is going to be how you can tell where someone has been and how they are based off the jewelry that they wear. I want to focus on he more personal things such as things that tend to be passed down in families like a grandfathers pocket watch, grandmothers earrings or broach.

Stretch

The story behind this piece is that it can be a real struggle sometimes to trust someone enough to give them your heart and sometimes you have to stretch yourself to take the risk of getting hurt. I picture someone with a dead bolt look over their heart where it needs a key to unlock so it can be given away by choice. In this case the figure is struggling to unlock her heart and freely give it away to someone that will either break it or keep it safe but reality is that she has to bite the bullet and fight the battle because without risk there is nothing gained good or bad.
